1For new registration (Form 6): Aadhaar number (or a declaration if you don't have one), a recent passport-size colour photo on a white background (4.5cm x 3.5cm), age proof (birth certificate, 10th marksheet or similar), current address proof, mobile number for OTP, and the name/relation of a parent or spouse already on the roll if available
2For correction/shifting/replacement (Form 8): existing EPIC number, Aadhaar number, proof of the new detail being corrected (address proof for shifting, age/name proof for a correction), and a recent photo
3For overseas electors (Form 6A): valid Indian passport, current visa details, proof of the Indian address last ordinarily resided at, and a recent passport-size photo
4Disability marking (optional, Form 8): a disability certificate, if you want it recorded

Does this desk issue the voter ID card?

No. We help you fill and submit the correct ECI form. The Booth Level Officer and Electoral Registration Officer carry out verification, and the Election Commission of India approves and issues or updates the EPIC.

How do I track my voter ID application?

Use the Reference ID shown after you submit the form (in the format starting with your state code, e.g. S27...) on voters.eci.gov.in under "Track Application Status", or the ECINET app. We can help you check it at our desk.

Can I register to vote online without visiting an Aadhaar-linked mobile?

The OTP for Form 6 goes to the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar you enter, so that phone needs to be with the applicant when the form is submitted. If you don't have Aadhaar, you can still apply by declaring that you don't have one.

Does NISE COMPORT issue a Voter ID card?

No. We can help with form navigation and application preparation. The Election Commission verifies the request and maintains the electoral roll.

Can I apply for a correction and a new registration together?

The correct form depends on your current electoral-roll status and the change requested. Check the official election-service guidance before submitting.
