Aadhaar PVC card: how to order the official card and track delivery
The official Aadhaar PVC card is printed and posted by UIDAI. Here’s how ordering works, what it costs and how to avoid unofficial printouts.

The Aadhaar PVC card is a wallet-sized plastic version of your Aadhaar with security features. The official card is ordered from UIDAI, printed by UIDAI and sent by post to the address on your Aadhaar record.
Order it from UIDAI’s myAadhaar website. You enter your Aadhaar number, confirm with an OTP, check the preview, pay the fee shown on the official page and receive a Service Request Number (SRN) for tracking.
Check your address first
The card is posted to the address on your Aadhaar. If you have moved, update the address first and order the PVC card after the update is complete.
Official card vs shop printouts
Plastic cards printed from a downloaded e-Aadhaar at a shop are not the official PVC card. The e-Aadhaar PDF you download from UIDAI is itself valid; you do not need a plastic copy to use Aadhaar.
Before you start
- Confirm the address on your Aadhaar is current
- Order only on UIDAI’s official website
- Pay the fee shown on the official page
- Save the SRN and track the order and the post
